Judge for yourself ....

How did this clown ever get elected ?
BTW - To those of you who bash Fox News - the CBS version of this address on You Tube EDITED OUT the 3 minute preamble ( which appeared on all national broadcasts of this address ) to try and hide his absurd comments.... no surprise there !

Oh Boy-Here we go again. Please tell me your not in a leadership position. I'm more concerned about people that think like you, than I will ever be of a Moderate Democrat.

I was baffled. When he came out, he didnt even act like there was a tragedy going on. I can say that I didnt expect him to cancel the speech he was supposed to do, but I did expect him to address the shooting first... especially since it was a military shooting. I also want to know who exactly considers Obama a moderate??

By "a moderate democrat", I think he was referring to Joe Lieberman, or maybe Zel Miller. I think his vision of leadership is more of the Bahney Fwank type, leading a conga line of liberals over to the bathhouse ( and the rest of us to the poorhouse).
I will say this ... I am not a heartless man. In fact, I consider myself quite - gulp - compassionate. I donate a fair amount of money annually to both my Church, as well as charities. Somebody has got to pay the bill, however - that's the part of the story the liberals don't want you to hear. They want us to worry about the climate 100 years from now, but they don't want us to be the least bit hesitant to put our GREAT-grandchildren deeply in debt to Red China. That's a check I just refuse to put my name on.

Gravitas: Your racial undertones and bathhouse perversions are duly noted. You, me and over 200 million Americans donate their fair share to their congregations and charities of choice, but it appears yours is not without stipulation. I am sure your contributions are greatly appreciated, but you make it sound like without your compassion, oceans will dry up and famine will take over. Not convinced that you alone are paying the bills LOL. Wow how condescending. As far as climate I do believe it is relevent. Red China-hmm do you have a problem with Free Market Economy Gravitas-Im surprised. Now as far as our Great Grandchildren-we all realize that when you baby boomers pass on to another life we will not be as burdened. Your generation has created the problem we can only hope you will do the responsible thing and pay it forward. But we both know that compassion with boundries isn't compassion at all.

Reddog, Your rhetoric bores me, and is typical of your past posts ( e.g., "Simple-Republicans are a bunch of self serving skid marks in the underwear of life." ). Your playing the "race card" ultimately confirms your status as a partisan hack ... you wouldn't be Keith Olberman, would you ?
Just for the halibut, I've got to ask the question ... what part of my post led you to "racial overtones" ? Whenever one of you Obama sheep gets pushed into a corner, out comes the "racist" defense - is this what you guys meant all along with that "hope and change" B.S. ?

Gravitas, My facts do not bore you or why would you respond. You enjoy debate, rhetorical or not, as much as I. As far as the skid marks statement, yes a cheap shot indeed, but accurate none the less. If it gives you comfort, that statement could apply to most career politicians Dems & Repubs alike. It's just the Republicans seem to be acquiring the lions share of the underwear. Race card-lol-who put that card in play Gravitas. Quit making race an issue and that card doesn't get played. I'm more of a Lou Dobbs kinda guy-who by the way will be greatly missed on CNN-wish you the best Lou. After several discussions with members of the local Republican Committee Persons it did not take long to determine that their interests are self serving to say the least. It truly is a shame that we still have people that put special interests of a few in front of the needs of many. What is it we refer to as a one party system such as the one we have here. Maybe the "Good Ole Boy" network isn't so good afterall. "Obama Sheep"-far from true-that suggests I'm a follower-LOL more often than not I stand alone, but Gravitas-I'm still standing. There's only one guy that can sit me down and that's our Father himself. Hope is not what us guys meant-thats what our Lord meant Gravitas-I don't consider that BS. Change is like time-it cannot be stopped by mortal man and those who try will simply be passed by like time itself. Whether I agree or not with your perceptions I due respect your input regardless. I just pray that what's best for Humanity is what is best for us as a Nation Under God. Even the "minority" few who seem to be rapped up in descent as oppossed to mindful of our potential in the future. That includes Dems ans Repubs alike. We will put partisianship aside or we will parish. As far as supporting OBAMA-I dont have to think twice about it. It is our responsibility to support our President of this great nation regardless. Time will tell whether we made the rights choices under his administration. 2012 is right around the corner, if he isn't affective-he's gone.

Well, our little worm "slither" is back.
Sorry, wimp - wrong on all counts. But I'm glad you're back nonetheless... you never responded to my earlier note to you - show some cajones and back up your empty-headed, cut-and-paste crapola: What rights did George Bush take away from you that you are so upset about ? -------- Oct 13, 2009, 6:39pm, slithering wrote:What rights and freedoms? Do you mean the ones that George W. Bush(R) already took away? ...could you be more specific? Don't be a fool. Obama has his eyes on our guns, as well as our treasure. "Conservatives cling to their guns and religion" ... remember when he said that ? Our grandchildren will have the pleasure of having to pay down this gigantic debt he is building ....just so the slackers and illegal aliens amongst us can have free health care. Did you notice that he has forced law enforcement officers along the border to STOP arresting illegal aliens ? Are you impressed by the way he constantly apologizes for America to all of our enemies abroad ?
What rights did Bush take away that you are so wound up about - your right to talk privately to known terrorists overseas ? After whining about that wiretapping his whole campaign, Obama decided NOT to stop that practice once he was elected, by the way .....I'm sure you wrote him one of your famous "LOL" cut-and-paste emails after that decision, though.
------- As usual, you pull your absurd sound bites off the Daily Koz, or Huffington Post, and don't have a shred of logic or facts to back them up. WHAT RIGHTS DID GEORGE BUSH TAKE AWAY FROM YOU THAT HAVE GOT YOUR PANTIES IN A WAD, WORM ?

Reddog, Not so fast on this one....you accused me of "racial overtones" in my criticism of Obama, yet I never mentioned his race whatsoever. You liberals use that like some kind of shield, as a last line of defense whenever somebody criticizes their "mesiah" . Please tell me where I brought race into this discussion - otherwise, I would appreciate an apology.

I actually was watching the news when he said 'I wanna give a shout out to . . . ' I was thoroughly disgusted. Those of you who were not bothered probably think Kanye is a good guy and that Nancy Pelosi just truly wants to help the underprivileged. I am not sure if it is ignorance or naivete, but I do know that was not the correct way to open a talk about a tragedy. Plus the fact that Obama had his info WRONG!!

Gravitas,
"conga line of liberals to the bathhouse" is what I was referring to. Conga an Afro-Latin American instrument or form of dance, bathhouse-known repository of ill-repute in the modern day. Wait a minute, do I not live in a Republican controlled County with a sleeperhouse just 3 miles South on 41. HMMM Oh by the way-where did I say I was a liberal-as a matter of fact I have claimed to be Independent more than once. Last time I punched a straight ticket was in the 80's-learned alot since then. Repubs are going to have to do better than Romney, Huckabee, or for the love of God-Sarah Palin-lol I can't say her name without laughing. Speaking of Sarah it appears we are trying to get one of those in District 42. Looking forward to this debate.

Still waiting to hear some facts from you, slither - WHAT RIGHTS DID GEORGE BUSH TAKE AWAY FROM YOU THAT HAVE GOT YOUR PANTIES IN A WAD? You got an uncle over in Basra that you like to talk privately to ? Or maybe you just like to whine and bleat in public ? Does that make you feel better ?
( BTW reddog - I ain't buying your " poor widow moderate me" BS, but I'll give you partial credit for having the nerve to try running THAT up the flagpole ...especially after that "Republicans are skid marks....." post of yours. And that leap from "conga line" to "racial undertones" left my head swimming. Maybe you really ARE Keith Olberman ! ).

Gravitas.
LOL We are making progress, partial credit is better than no credit at all. Thanks for recognizing my efforts. Greatly appreciated as are yours. That leap was a stretch wasn't it, but I can't get past the fact that most people I talk with in this area do feel some kind of contempt for having an Afro-American for President. I guess we could call that honesty to a fault, but honesty none the less. This contempt wasn't based on policy at all. Could this be why head is swimming. If this is the case, it is comforting to know you have taken the first step towards recovery, racism is a disease, not an easy cure. It is near impossible to correct something with determining it's root cause, and I believe that's progress, as slow as it comes from time to time, is progress none the less. Keep up the good work, it will come in time. Keith Olberman-really!!! I do not follow MSNBC-I will review some of his talking points, it appears you feel like I'm representing his views. I used to follow Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh until they went insane. As I have said before I follow CNN religiously, the most trusted and bi-partisian news broadcast out there. It's not fair for me to be critical of you in that regard until I understand what your referring to. Let's shift focus, let us talk about Democrats for a minute. You may be surprised with my position on their issues. I'll appreciate you taking the lead here. Lastly-please accept apologies if affended-nothing personal-just passion. There is no doubt your heart is in the right place, we just need to get that swimming head out of deep water LOL.
